Whitney Elizabeth Houston was the youngest child of singer Dionne Warswick and gospel music legend Cissy Houston. Whitney Elizabeth Houston grew as a child in a household of musicians. It is The Bodyguard of 1992 that turned her into one of the most successful performers in the history of music. The film itself as well as her performance in it were not highly praised the soundtrack album and her rendition of the Dolly Parton song I Will Always Love You was the top of charts for albums and singles for months and sold 44 million copies around the world. That same year she got married to Bobby Brown who was a ex- New Edition singer. She was the sole daughter of Bobby and Bobbi Kristina Brown. They were married on March 23, 1993.
